MOIL Limited, a Schedule 'A' Miniratna Category-I Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Steel, reported strong financial and operational performance for the first quarter of FY 2026-27. The company achieved a 70% year-on-year increase in profit after tax (PAT) to ₹87.62 crore, up from ₹51.51 crore in Q1 FY 2025-26. Profit before tax showed even stronger growth, rising 75% to ₹111.62 crore from ₹63.82 crore in the comparable previous period.
Revenue performance was solid with revenue from operations increasing by 7% to ₹370.88 crore from ₹348.06 crore, while total revenue grew 6% to ₹391.13 crore from ₹370.52 crore. The company achieved significantly improved pricing realization, with net sales realization reaching ₹9,749 per metric ton, representing a 10% increase over ₹8,884 per metric ton in the corresponding previous quarter.
Operationally, MOIL produced 507,605 metric tons of manganese ore during the quarter, marking a 1% increase over the 502,260 metric tons produced in Q1 FY26. Sales volume reached 369,049 metric tons, up 4% from 356,196 metric tons in the same period last year. The management attributed these results to the dedication and hard work of the entire workforce, highlighting operational discipline and commitment as key factors enabling the company to maintain growth across key metrics.
As India's largest producer of manganese ore, operating underground and open-cast mines across Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh, MOIL remains focused on achieving higher production targets, improving operational efficiency, and meeting the growing requirements of the domestic steel industry.
