Sales Performance FY 2025-26

The Company recorded its highest-ever sales across segments:

  • Total Alumina Sales: 14.46 lakh tonnes
  • Domestic Alumina Sales: 1.38 lakh tonnes
  • Aluminium Metal Sales: 4.74 lakh tonnes

Financial Performance FY 2025-26

NALCO achieved record financial performance with significant year-on-year growth:

  • Revenue from Operations: ₹17,843 crore (6% YoY growth)
  • EBITDA: ₹8,613 crore (9% YoY growth)
  • Profit Before Tax: ₹7,767 crore (9% YoY growth)
  • Profit After Tax: ₹5,816 crore (9% YoY growth)

Dividend Distribution

The Company maintained its tradition of rewarding shareholders:

  • Interim dividend: ₹10.50 per equity share, amounting to ₹1,928.46 crore (paid in three tranches)
  • Final dividend: ₹1.00 per equity share, amounting to ₹183.66 crore (recommended for shareholder approval)
  • Total dividend payment for FY 2025-26: ₹2,112.12 crore (230% of paid-up share capital)
  • Total dividend payout on cash basis: ₹2,020.29 crore (+10% YoY growth)

Raw Material and Energy Security

  • Utkal-D&E captive coal mines operated at peak capacity of 40 lakh tonnes, with entire production supplied to Captive Power Plant at Angul
  • Company progressing to enhance coal production capacity from 40 lakh tonnes to 48 lakh tonnes per annum (subject to approvals)
  • Joint venture with Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals Limited (GNAL) ensuring long-term caustic soda supply

Expansion Projects Progress

5th Stream Alumina Refinery Expansion at Damanjodi

  • Adding 1 million tonnes per annum to existing 2.1 million tonnes capacity
  • Major statutory clearances obtained
  • Detailed engineering and procurement activities completed
  • Phase-wise trial and testing commenced in June 2026
  • Production expected to stabilize during Q4 FY 2026-27

Pottangi Bauxite Mines

  • 3.5 million tonne per annum capacity development
  • All statutory clearances in place
  • Mining lease executed
  • Mine Developer and Operator appointed

Alternative Bauxite Sourcing

  • Panchpatmali South Block crushing and conveying system with 3.15 million tonne per annum capacity
  • 93% physical progress achieved as of July 2026

Future Growth Initiatives

  • Proposed 0.5 million tonnes per annum brownfield expansion of Aluminium Smelter at Angul
  • Additional 1,080 MW Captive Power Plant planned
