Nordex Q3 Results and Share Reaction
Nordex, the German onshore wind turbine manufacturer, saw its shares climb 13% in early Frankfurt trading on Friday following the release of its third‑quarter figures, which exceeded market expectations. The company reported a preliminary EBITDA of approximately €278 million for the quarter, up from €136 million a year earlier, effectively doubling year‑on‑year earnings and surpassing a company‑compiled consensus by roughly 15%.
The EBITDA margin widened to 12.7% compared with 8% in the same quarter last year, reflecting improved profitability. Revenue for the quarter increased to about €2.19 billion, up from €1.71 billion a year prior, while free cash flow rose sharply to €379 million from €149 million.
In light of the stronger performance, Nordex raised its full‑year EBITDA margin guidance for 2026 to a range of 11.5%‑12.5%, up from the earlier outlook of 8.0%‑11.0%. The company attributed the better‑than‑expected results to higher margins in its Service segment and robust project execution, noting that risks previously assumed in the Projects segment did not materialise to the anticipated extent.
Nordex announced that the complete third‑quarter results will be published on 5 November.
