Nordson Q3 Earnings Beat and Guidance Update

Nordson Corporation (NASDAQ:NDSN) announced its third‑quarter 2026 results, which ended on July 31, 2026. The company posted adjusted earnings per share of $3.25, surpassing the analyst consensus of $3.09 by $0.16. Revenue for the quarter reached a record $817.66 million, exceeding the consensus estimate of $779.49 million and representing a 10% increase over the $742 million reported in the comparable period of the prior year. Organic sales grew approximately 12%, driven by growth across all business segments.

The firm highlighted that its backlog expanded 35% year‑over‑year, reflecting continued strength in demand. Third‑quarter EBITDA rose to a record $262 million, equal to 32% of sales, marking a 10% increase from the prior year.

Based on the strong performance, Nordson raised its full‑year outlook. The updated revenue guidance now targets $3.035 billion to $3.075 billion, with a midpoint of $3.055 billion, which is above the analyst consensus of $2.983 billion. Adjusted earnings guidance was also increased to a range of $11.80 to $12.00 per share, with a midpoint of $11.90, representing a 2.7% increase over the consensus estimate of $11.59.

Following the announcement, Nordson shares rose 5.67% in trading.
