Strategic and Operational Highlights
1. Stake Acquisition in Associate: During the quarter, the company acquired 2.90 lakh shares in Ponni Sugars (Erode) Limited, increasing effective shareholding from 32.40% to 35.78% of PSEL's paid-up share capital. Share of profit in associate computed at revised percentage from acquisition date.
2. NCLT Matter: The Hon'ble NCLT, Chennai bench approved e-auction sale of assets of Servalakshmi Paper Limited (in liquidation) as a going concern in favor of the company. Sales certificate issued and assets handed over. Three appeals filed in NCLAT - two dismissed as withdrawn, one reserved for orders. Company continues revival and refurbishment efforts.
3. Segment Information: Paper remains the only reportable segment of operation.
