Core Announcement
Siemens Healthineers AG disclosed on 31 July 2026 that it has raised its full‑year 2026 adjusted basic earnings‑per‑share (EPS) outlook to a range of €2.35 to €2.45, up from the prior range of €2.20 to €2.30. The upward revision is attributed to refunds of tariffs imposed under the U.S. International Emergency Economic Powers Act.
FY 2026 Guidance Update
Concurrently, the company lowered its full‑year comparable revenue growth outlook to 3.5%‑4%, down from the earlier guidance of 4.5%‑5%, reflecting weaker performance in the Diagnostics segment.
Q3 FY2026 Financial Performance
For the third quarter of fiscal year 2026, ended 30 June, revenue increased 1.8% year‑on‑year to €5.76 billion, representing a 2.8% rise on a comparable‑basis. Adjusted EBIT grew to €1.10 billion from €953 million, improving the adjusted EBIT margin to 19.1% from 16.8%. Net income rose 21.7% to €676 million, while adjusted basic EPS climbed to €0.70 from €0.64. Free cash flow expanded 21.2% to €1.02 billion, supported by tariff refunds of approximately €0.2 billion.
Segment Highlights
- Imaging reported comparable revenue growth of 2.3% and achieved an adjusted EBIT margin of 26.5%.
- Precision Therapy delivered comparable revenue growth of 9.2% with an adjusted EBIT margin of 17.5%, driven by strong performance in Advanced Therapies and Varian.
- Diagnostics saw comparable revenue decline of 5.5% and an adjusted EBIT margin fall to 4.1% from 9.2%, as cost‑reduction initiatives and tariff refunds only partially offset lower earnings from declining revenue, an unfavorable business mix, and negative currency effects.
Order Intake
Equipment order intake exceeded equipment revenue in the quarter, resulting in an equipment book‑to‑bill ratio of 1.27, which the company described as outstanding.
Geographic Performance
Revenue in the China region fell by a very low double‑digit percentage range on a comparable basis. The Americas region recorded a moderate revenue increase after a significant prior‑year quarter, while the Asia Pacific Japan region posted slight revenue growth following a very strong prior‑year quarter.
Management Commentary
Chief Executive Officer Bernd Montag stated, "We showed great order momentum. Our synergetic core was robust on both top and bottom lines. Due to the revenue weakness in Diagnostics we are decreasing our revenue growth outlook while raising the EPS outlook by the amount of the tariff refunds."
Outlook Assumptions
The updated outlook excludes any potential portfolio measures and is based on the assumption that developments related to wars and conflicts will not have a material impact on the company’s business activities.
