Star Entertainment FY26 Financial Results

Star Entertainment Group (ASX:SGR) announced a statutory net loss of A$307.3 million for the fiscal year ended 30 June 2026, an improvement from the A$427.9 million loss recorded in the prior year. Normalised revenue declined 2.2 percent to A$1.10 billion, while EBITDA loss before significant items narrowed sharply to A$16.1 million from A$76.2 million a year earlier. Gaming revenue fell 5.3 percent, driven primarily by weakness in table‑games at the Sydney casino. In contrast, revenue for July at the Sydney and Gold Coast properties increased 6 percent year‑on‑year to A$92.4 million, representing an 8 percent uplift over the fourth‑quarter monthly average and was supported by strong growth in slot‑machine earnings. The company’s shares slipped 1.9 percent to A$0.128 in early trading. Star cautioned that material uncertainties remain concerning a potential AUSTRAC penalty, its ability to satisfy existing debt covenants, and the restoration of its casino licences.
