Thyrocare Technologies Limited – Q2 FY27 Financial and Operational Highlights

Thyrocare Technologies Limited (NSE: THYROCARE, BSE: 539871) announced its consolidated results for the quarter ended 30 September 2026 (Q2 FY27). The company reported revenue of ₹270.8 crore, representing a 25.1% year‑on‑year increase. EBITDA grew 24.9% to ₹89.3 crore, and profit after tax before exceptional items rose 25.7% to ₹60.2 crore.

The growth was led by the Pathology segment, which expanded 26.7% YoY. Within Pathology, franchise revenue increased 26.9% and partnership revenue rose 27.9% compared with the same quarter last year.

Operationally, Thyrocare processed 61.6 million diagnostic tests, a 27.4% YoY rise. Quality metrics improved, with customer complaints falling 24% to 2.9 per million and the average turnaround time (ATAT) recorded at 3.49 hours from sample receipt.

Exceptional items comprised a one‑time, non‑cash impairment charge of ₹45 crore related to the Nuclear Imaging (NHL) business, recognized in connection with a definitive term sheet for the proposed sale of that business. The charge is non‑operational and does not affect ongoing performance. The company has issued a postal ballot seeking shareholder approval for the divestment of the NHL business, aiming to sharpen focus on the higher‑margin Pathology franchise.

Thyrocare continued expanding its specialty diagnostics portfolio, adding allergy testing, genomics, and a phased rollout of non‑invasive prenatal testing (NIPT). It also launched a five‑minute Pregnancy Test Kit, the first in India backed by a confirmatory laboratory test. Actress Yami Gautam was appointed brand ambassador for the kit, which is being distributed through the API Holdings group company Ascent and is already available in more than 10,000 chemist outlets.

"Thyrocare reported a strong performance this quarter, driven by continued focus on operational efficiency, network expansion, and value‑driven diagnostics," said Rahul Guha, Managing Director & CEO, adding that the company is excited about its foray into point‑of‑care devices and aims to be present in all major chemist outlets.
