Weibo Q2 2026 Results Overview

Weibo Corporation (NASDAQ:WB) announced its second‑quarter 2026 financial results, which exceeded analyst expectations. Adjusted earnings per share were $0.38, topping the consensus estimate of $0.36, and revenue reached $453.8 million, a 2% year‑on‑year increase and above the $442.44 million forecast. The earnings beat lifted the stock 3.29% in pre‑market trading.

Advertising and marketing revenue declined 1% YoY to $381.0 million, while value‑added services revenue rose 19% YoY to $72.9 million, driven by one‑off ticket proceeds from offline activities and growth in membership services. Advertising revenue from non‑Alibaba advertisers fell 2% YoY to $341.8 million, reflecting weaker demand from handset and online‑game sectors, partially offset by gains in internet‑service and automobile advertising. Revenue from Alibaba advertisers grew 10% YoY to $39.2 million.

The company reported 561 million monthly active users and 254 million average daily active users in June 2026. Non‑GAAP operating margin contracted to 28% from 36% a year earlier as total costs and expenses rose 12% YoY to $335.0 million, mainly due to higher ad‑production and marketing costs. Non‑GAAP net income attributable to shareholders declined to $102.7 million from $143.2 million in the comparable period.

Cash, cash equivalents and short‑term investments stood at $2.64 billion as of 30 June 2026. CEO Gaofei Wang said the quarter was solid, highlighting improvements in user quality, retention through an information‑feed revamp, and stronger engagement among core users.
