The Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances, New Delhi, has been selected for the "Rajbhasha Utkrishtta Sammaan" for the year 2025-26 by the Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs. This recognition is awarded for outstanding work and continuous excellent performance in the implementation of the Official Language. The department had previously received the Rajbhasha Kirti Puraskar (First) for two consecutive years in 2023-24 and 2024-25.
Despite rules stating that ministries/departments receiving the first prize for two consecutive years are not awarded the Puruskar in the subsequent year, the Department of Administrative Reforms was granted this special recognition due to its consistent outstanding performance in official language implementation over several years. The department secured the first position for its excellent performance in official language implementation for 2025-26.
The award will be presented during the Hindi Diwas Sammelan scheduled for September 14, 2026, in Navi Mumbai on the occasion of Hindi Diwas.
