Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan will participate in the 'Paryavaran Sanrakshan Sankalp' environmental conservation program at PUSA Campus in New Delhi on Sunday, July 11, 2026. The program will commence at 11:30 AM at Subrahmanyam Hall and aims to transform environmental conservation into a nationwide people's movement through active public participation.

Minister Chouhan will interact with nearly 17,000 Vriksh Mitras (Tree Friends) from across the country, with more than 500 attending in person and over 16,000 participating virtually. The Vriksh Mitras represent nearly every state in India and have made notable contributions in tree plantation, water conservation, and ecological restoration.

Renowned environmentalists Anil Joshi and Anoop Hajela will participate in the program and share their perspectives on environmental conservation, sustainable management of natural resources, and the importance of people's participation in protecting the environment. Minister Chouhan will hold detailed discussions with Vriksh Mitras about successful community-led initiatives in environmental conservation and will undertake a plantation drive with participants at the PUSA Campus to reaffirm the collective commitment towards a greener India.
