The Ministry of Cooperation, in collaboration with CSC e-Governance Services India Limited (CSC SPV), is facilitating the functioning of eligible Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS) as Common Service Centres (CSCs) to provide digital and citizen-centric services in rural areas including Andhra Pradesh.
Implementation Status in Andhra Pradesh
In Andhra Pradesh, 1,958 PACS have been onboarded as CSCs, with 1,869 currently active and functioning as CSCs, while 89 are inactive. The performance is monitored periodically through review meetings and status reports from CSC SPV.
Services Provided
PACS functioning as CSCs provide a comprehensive range of digital services including banking and financial services, insurance services, Aadhaar-enabled services, utility bill payments, PAN card services, agricultural and allied services, and various Government-to-Citizen (G2C) and Business-to-Citizen (B2C) services. These services enhance access to digital and public service delivery in rural and underserved areas.
District-wise Breakdown
The detailed district-wise status shows Krishna district has the highest number of PACS onboarded (403) and active (381), followed by East Godavari (294 onboarded, 288 active) and West Godavari (258 onboarded, 251 active). Several districts including Alluri Sitharama Raju, Anakapalli, Kakinada, Konaseema, Nandyal, NTR, Palnadu, Parvathipuram Manyam, Sri Sathya Sai, and Tirupati have exactly 1 PACS onboarded and active with no inactive ones. The highest number of inactive PACS is in Krishna district (22), followed by Guntur (20).
