Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs approved ₹14,105.83 crore investment for 1200 MW Kalai-II Hydro Electric Project in Arunachal Pradesh.
The project will generate 4852.95 MU of energy annually and be completed in 78 months through a THDC-Govt of Arunachal JV.
Government of India will provide ₹599.88 crore for infrastructure and ₹750 crore as equity support for the state.
State receives 12% free power plus 1% for Local Area Development Fund, with road infrastructure and employment benefits.
