Cabinet Approves ₹365/qtl Sugarcane FRP for 2026-27

Cabinet approves Fair and Remunerative Price of ₹365 per quintal for sugarcane for 2026-27 season with 10.25% basic recovery rate.
FRP provides ₹3.56/qtl premium for each 0.1% recovery increase above 10.25% and no deduction for recovery below 9.5%.
FRP is 100.5% higher than production cost of ₹182/qtl and 2.81% higher than previous season's FRP.
Decision benefits 5 crore sugarcane farmers and 5 lakh workers in sugar mills and ancillary activities.
