Union Cabinet approves ECLGS 5.0 providing ₹5,000 crore credit support for airlines facing ATF price hikes and West Asia disruptions.
Scheme offers 100% guarantee for MSMEs and 90% for non-MSMEs/airlines with loans up to ₹1,500 crore per airline borrower.
Loans feature 7-year tenure including 2-year moratorium and option to convert 50% interest into FITL to ease liquidity pressures.
Scheme applicable to loans sanctioned from guideline issuance until 31.03.2027 to sustain operations and employment in aviation sector.
