Cabinet Approves Modified UDAN Scheme with ₹28,840 Crore Outlay

The Union Cabinet approved the Modified UDAN regional connectivity scheme with a total outlay of ₹28,840 crore for a 10-year period.
The scheme will develop 100 airports, 200 helipads, and provide viability gap funding to airlines to enhance regional connectivity.
The scheme also includes procurement of two HAL Dhruv helicopters and two HAL Dornier aircraft for Pawan Hans and Alliance Air.
