USMCA Negotiation Context
The United States, Mexico and Canada must decide whether to extend the United States‑Mexico‑Canada Agreement (USMCA) without changes or to propose modifications. Any revisions will not be finalized by the July 1 deadline. That date is set to trigger a ten‑year termination clock for the USMCA, after which negotiations would continue under the termination framework.
