CBIC Holds Outreach on Duty Deferment for Manufacturers

CBIC organized an outreach programme on the Duty Deferment Scheme for Eligible Manufacturer Importers (EMI) in New Delhi.
The scheme allows deferred payment of import duties to improve liquidity and reduce dwell time for manufacturers.
Eligible manufacturer importers can apply online via the AEO portal, with the scheme valid from April 2026 to March 2028.
