The Central Bureau of Narcotics (CBN), Madhya Pradesh Unit, organized five drug-awareness programs at educational institutions across the state during October 2026 as part of Mission Yuva Raksha. The programs were conducted in partnership with Brahma Kumaris to promote preventive awareness among youth against drug abuse and support the vision of a "Nasha Mukt Bharat."
On October 5, 2026, approximately 200 students and teachers attended a program at Swami Vivekanand Government PG College in Neemuch focusing on the harmful effects of drug abuse and the importance of a drug-free life. On October 13, 2026, approximately 200 students and faculty members along with 25 staff members participated in a program at Sardar Patel College of Nursing in Jaora that addressed substance abuse, its impact on youth health and future prospects, and healthy living.
On October 15, 2026, three simultaneous programs were conducted: approximately 450 students and teachers attended a program organized with Brahma Kumaris at CM Rise Government School in Jawad; approximately 450 students attended a program organized by CBN's Mandsaur-I Division at CM Rise School in Sabakheda, Mandsaur; and approximately 230 students attended a program organized by the Office of the District Opium Officer in collaboration with Brahma Kumaris at Sanskar Valley Higher Secondary School in Garoth.
Across all programs, participants were scientifically briefed on the harmful effects of drug abuse on physical and mental health, education, family life and careers. Activities included awareness sessions, question-and-answer competitions, educational videos, presentations, meditation and poster-making. Participants took pledges to stay away from drugs and support awareness initiatives in their schools, families and communities. The initiatives reflect CBN's commitment to complementing enforcement activities with preventive awareness and demand-reduction initiatives among students and young people.
