Raksha Rajya Mantri Shri Sanjay Seth inaugurated a newly constructed Multi-Level Car Parking Facility at the Defence Offices Complex in Africa Avenue, New Delhi on August 05, 2026. The 14-storey facility represents the government's commitment to upgrading urban infrastructure with world-class facilities, particularly addressing parking problems in metro cities where land is scarce. The project utilizes fully automatic robotic (dolly) type technology that is 60% more efficient in space utilization compared to conventional parking systems, constructed at a cost of ₹45 crore. The facility is equipped with CCTV surveillance and a fire safety system, ensuring minimum human intervention and zero vehicle emissions after entry into the lift lobby. Minister Seth commended the Central Public Works Department (CPWD) for completing the project in a time-bound manner while maintaining quality, convenience, and aesthetics, noting that such initiatives improve workplace efficiency and represent a transition from traditional to advanced modern technologies. He also appreciated CPWD's work on other recently constructed buildings including MP Flats, Kartavya Bhawans, and Executive Enclave.
