Collaboration aims to strengthen multilingual digital capabilities across India's industry and internal trade ecosystem through BHASHINI Platform
Initiative covers all 22 languages recognized under the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution of India
Will enable multilingual access across DPIIT's digital platforms including BHASHINI Udyat, Mitra, Appmitra, and Pravakta
Includes translation API integration, domain-specific language model development, multilingual glossary creation, voice-enabled technologies and linguistic dataset
BHASHINI platform currently powers over 800 government websites
Processes more than 15 million inferences daily
Supports 36 Indian text languages, 23 Indian voice languages, and 35 international languages
Aims to reduce language barriers in access to government information, startup and industrial services, policy communication, and citizen engagement
Focus on strengthening multilingual AI models for investment promotion, industrial development, innovation, and entrepreneurship-related domains
Will encourage language data contributions, awareness initiatives, capacity-building efforts, and wider adoption of multilingual AI tools
