The Department of Pension & Pensioners' Welfare (DoPPW) has commenced the preparatory phase for Special Campaign for Disposal of Pending Matters (SCDPM 6.0) following its launch by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances on September 16, 2026. The main campaign period is scheduled from October 2 to October 31, 2026, with focus areas including pendency reduction, records management, institutionalization of Swachhata, and strengthening internal monitoring mechanisms.
DoPPW has established specific quantitative targets for the campaign: disposal of 6,500 public grievances, 800 appeals, review of 847 physical files and 653 electronic files, issuance of 23 Office Memorandums for ease of living for pensioners, and expected revenue generation of ₹25,000 from campaign activities. Through coordination with Central Government Pensioners' Associations, the department has identified 21 cleanliness sites across the country to be addressed during the campaign.
The campaign includes a "Swachhata Hi Sewa" programme featuring a plantation drive at CSOI Vinay Marg Sports Complex in New Delhi on October 1, 2026, with participation from Dr. Jitendra Singh (MoS PP), Smt. Nivedita Shukla Verma (Secretary Pension), and all DoPPW officials. Daily progress monitoring will be conducted by a dedicated team and uploaded to the SCDPM portal maintained by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances. The Joint Secretary (Pension) has already inspected all identified cleanliness sites during the preparatory phase and directed officials to achieve campaign targets.
