Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh reviewed the Special Campaign 6 for Swachhata activities at the Department of Pension and Pensioners' Welfare (DoPPW) located at Lok Nayak Bhawan, Khan Market, New Delhi. During his visit on October 26, 2026, he emphasized that cleanliness must become an integral part of everyday work culture and should be maintained as a continuous process rather than a one-time exercise.

The Minister inaugurated a newly established Library-cum-Reading Hall at DoPPW to promote reading, knowledge-sharing, and continuous learning among officers and staff. He also inaugurated a Swachhata-themed Selfie Point to encourage employee and visitor participation in the cleanliness campaign. At the Scrap Collection Centre, Dr. Singh reviewed arrangements for the collection, segregation, and disposal of scrap, including electronic waste generated during the campaign.

Dr. Singh felicitated the 'Safai' staff by presenting eco-friendly bags and cleanliness kits, recognizing their contribution to maintaining a clean working environment. He called for extending the cleanliness message beyond government offices to busy public spaces, particularly crowded market areas, in coordination with local bodies such as NDMC.

The Minister interacted with Central Government pensioners who provided feedback on Digital Life Certificates, the Centralised Public Grievance Redress and Monitoring System (CPENGRAMS), and the Integrated Pensioners' Portal. He reiterated the government's commitment to citizen-centric pension administration and improving ease of living for pensioners through accessible digital services and responsive grievance redressal.

As part of the visit, Dr. Singh planted a sapling on the premises of Lok Nayak Bhawan under the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' initiative, highlighting the importance of environmental sustainability alongside workplace cleanliness, with coordination from the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC).
