Union Minister for Labour & Employment and Youth Affairs & Sports, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, will inaugurate seven Employees' State Insurance (ESI) healthcare projects worth approximately ₹668 crore on 14th July 2026 from ESIC Hospital, Sanathnagar, Telangana. The projects will benefit around 53 lakh ESI beneficiaries nationwide. The Minister will physically inaugurate the new Outpatient Department (OPD) Block of ESIC Hospital, Sanathnagar, and virtually inaugurate six other projects: upgraded 200-bedded ESIC Hospital in Beltola, Assam; 100-bedded ESIC Hospital in Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu; ESIS Hospital in Rajamahendravaram, Andhra Pradesh; ESI Dispensary and Branch Office in Surendranagar, Gujarat; ESI Dispensary and Branch Office in Udyog Nagar, Kota; and ESI Dispensary in Bhawani Mandi, Rajasthan.
During the event, Dr. Mandaviya will honor construction workers who contributed to the development of the OPD Block at ESIC Hospital, Sanathnagar, and disburse cash benefits to ESI beneficiaries. Union Minister of State for Labour & Employment and Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises, Sushri Shobha Karandlaje, will also attend the ceremony.
The new OPD Block at ESIC Medical College & Hospital, Sanathnagar, represents a significant healthcare investment with a built-up area of 43,611.04 square meters constructed at a cost of ₹211.13 crores. The facility will serve 12,30,183 insured persons and beneficiaries across Telangana, covering Hyderabad, Medchal–Malkajgiri, Sangareddy, Ranga Reddy, and Mahabubnagar districts. It features comprehensive medical services including OPD complexes for General Medicine, ENT, Dentistry, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, Psychiatry, Dermatology, Pulmonology, Paediatrics, General Surgery, and AYUSH, along with Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Radiology, Yoga facilities, 180 general beds, 25 ICU beds, 20 NICU beds, medical stores, and a Clinical Lecture Theatre.
ESIC Hospital in Beltola, Assam serves 47 districts of Assam and Meghalaya, plus 41 districts across Tripura, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, and Arunachal Pradesh, covering 3.42 lakh insured persons and approximately 13.27 lakh beneficiaries. The 100-bedded ESIC Hospital in Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu serves the manufacturing and electronics hub, providing medical facilities for over 5.5 lakh insured persons from Kanchipuram and Tiruvallur Districts with OPD, Emergency, Labour Room, Operation Theatre, ICU, IPD, X-Ray, laboratory, and pharmacy services.
ESIS Hospital at Rajamahendravaram, Andhra Pradesh serves 131,190 insured persons and approximately 252,717 beneficiaries, featuring 26 dedicated OPD rooms and three state-of-the-art modular operation theatres. The ESI Dispensary and Branch Office in Surendranagar, Gujarat covers 9,192 insured persons and enables around 35,000 beneficiaries to access primary healthcare services, medical consultations, essential medicines, and other medical benefits under one roof.
In Rajasthan, the ESI Dispensary and Branch Office in Udyog Nagar, Kota serves more than 1,500 employers, approximately 75,000 insured persons, and their 291,000 dependents in the industrial belt. The ESI Dispensary in Bhawani Mandi, one of Rajasthan's major textile centers, serves approximately 800 employers consisting of 27,715 insured persons and their approximately 107,535 dependents in the surrounding industrial cluster.
