FIDF Approves 228 Fisheries Infrastructure Projects

FIDF has a total fund size of Rs 7,522.48 crore for concessional finance to fisheries infrastructure.
228 projects worth Rs 5,559.54 crore have been approved, with Rs 4,351.86 crore eligible for interest subvention.
Rs 1,600.56 crore has been disbursed to 111 projects, with Tamil Nadu leading with 108 approved projects.
Fish production rose from 141.64 lakh tonnes (2019-20) to 197.75 lakh tonnes (2024-25), while seafood exports grew from Rs 46,666 crore to Rs 62,408 crore.
