FIDF Approves 228 Fisheries Projects Worth Rs 5,559 Crore

FIDF has a fund size of Rs 7,522.48 crore and has approved 228 projects at a cost of Rs 5,559.54 crore, with interest subvention on Rs 4,351.86 crore.
The fund has sanctioned 111 projects, with Rs 4,212.05 crore sanctioned and Rs 1,600.56 crore disbursed for fisheries infrastructure.
Fish production increased from 141.64 lakh tonnes (2019-20) to 197.75 lakh tonnes (2024-25), and seafood exports rose from Rs 46,666 crore to Rs 62,408 crore.
