Government Constitutes AI Governance Body AIGEG

MeitY constituted the AI Governance and Economic Group (AIGEG) as India's central AI governance policy body.
AIGEG will be chaired by Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw with Jitin Prasada as Vice Chairperson.
The body will coordinate national AI strategy and align deployment with labor market realities.
A Technology and Policy Expert Committee (TPEC) will provide expert advisory support to AIGEG.
