The Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, has extended the Remission of Duties and Taxes on Exported Products (RoDTEP) Scheme until December 31, 2026, through Notification No. 41/2026-27 dated September 30, 2026. The scheme will continue to be available for exports made by Domestic Tariff Area (DTA) Units, Advance Authorisation (AA) Holders, Special Economic Zone (SEZ) Units, and Export Oriented Units (EOUs).
The RoDTEP Scheme provides refunds of embedded, un-rebated central, state, and local duties, taxes, and levies borne on exported products, including prior-stage cumulative indirect taxes. The existing RoDTEP rates and value caps, as notified in Appendix 4R and Appendix 4RE applicable on September 30, 2026, will remain unchanged throughout the extension period until December 2026.
This extension reflects the government's commitment to supporting exporters by creating a level playing field in international markets against competing economies, ensuring continuity of export incentives without any changes to the existing rate structure.
