Government of India Q3 FY27 Treasury Bill Auction Calendar

The Ministry of Finance, in consultation with the Reserve Bank of India, has released the calendar for auction of Government of India Treasury Bills for the quarter ending September 2026 (Q3 FY27). The calendar outlines a total borrowing of ₹3,36,000 crore through weekly auctions of three tenors: 91-day, 182-day, and 364-day Treasury Bills.

A total of 15 weekly auctions are scheduled from July 1, 2026, to September 30, 2026. Each weekly auction will consist of ₹9,000 crore in 91-day bills, ₹8,000 crore in 182-day bills, and ₹7,000 crore in 364-day bills, totaling ₹24,000 crore per week. The auctions will be conducted on Wednesdays with settlement (issue date) occurring on the following Thursdays, except for the final auction of the quarter where the September 30, 2026 auction will settle on October 1, 2026.

The aggregate amounts for the quarter are ₹1,26,000 crore for 91-day bills, ₹1,12,000 crore for 182-day bills, and ₹98,000 crore for 364-day bills. The government retains flexibility to modify the indicated amount and timing of auctions depending on requirements, evolving market conditions, and other relevant factors, with any changes to be communicated through press releases. The auctions are subject to the terms and conditions specified in General Notification No. F.4(2)-B(W&M)/2018 dated March 26, 2025, as amended from time to time.
