Prime Minister Narendra Modi will release the 24th instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme on October 30, 2026, at Banaskantha, Gujarat, transferring more than ₹18,690 crore directly to the bank accounts of over 9.34 crore farmers across India through Direct Benefit Transfer. This instalment continues the government's income support program for eligible farmer families to help meet agricultural and household expenses and support livelihood security.

Concurrently, the Prime Minister will dedicate 521 units established under the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund to strengthen agricultural storage, processing, and related infrastructure nationwide. These units are part of broader investments totaling approximately ₹1.75 lakh crore across more than 2.28 lakh projects under the AIF, aimed at developing critical infrastructure including warehouses, cold storage facilities, and primary processing centers to reduce post-harvest losses and improve market access for farmers.

Additionally, the government will inaugurate 12 horticulture clusters to promote high-value horticultural crops and enhance farmers' income potential through crop diversification. Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will participate in the program marking the PM-KISAN release at Raisen, Madhya Pradesh.

Through the first 23 instalments of PM-KISAN, more than ₹4.47 lakh crore has already been disbursed to eligible farmers. The government highlighted several other agricultural initiatives including Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, Kisan Credit Card, Minimum Support Price (MSP) mechanism, Per Drop More Crop, National Mission on Edible Oils, Mission for Aatmanirbharta in Pulses, and National Mission on Natural Farming. These measures aim to provide financial assistance, strengthen risk protection, improve access to agricultural credit, and promote sustainable agricultural practices in line with the vision of building a prosperous, resilient, and self-reliant agricultural sector for Viksit Bharat.
