The Government of India approved NCRMP to build disaster-resilient infrastructure in cyclone-prone coastal states.
Project was implemented in two phases: Phase 1 for Andhra Pradesh and Odisha completed in 2018, Phase 2 for six states completed in 2023.
Total expenditure was ₹2524.84 crore for Phase 1 and ₹1806.84 crore for Phase 2, covering early warning systems and shelters.
Implementation involved capacity building, a central monitoring unit, and state-level coordination for effective execution.
