The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has published a revised draft of the National Pharmacy Commission Bill, 2026, which proposes to establish the National Pharmacy Commission and repeal the existing Pharmacy Act of 1948. This revised draft follows the ministry's examination of comments and suggestions received during the previous public consultation process.
The ministry has invited general public and stakeholder comments to further enrich the proposed legislation until July 31, 2026.
