Hungarian PM Peter Magyar announced plans to reform taxes and ensure a level playing field for domestic and foreign investors.
The government will first focus on passing the 2026 budget, citing a high deficit caused by the previous administration's overspending.
Magyar said tax reforms will be discussed in the medium to long term, while pledging to protect Europe's borders from illegal migration.
He noted Austria's criticism of a special retail tax imposed by former PM Viktor Orban and asked for patience before addressing it.
