The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) and its institutes across the country participated in the Swachhata Hi Seva 2026 campaign on September 17, 2026, reaffirming their collective commitment towards cleanliness and hygiene. At Krishi Bhawan in New Delhi, Dr M. L. Jat, Secretary of the Department of Agricultural Research and Education (DARE) and Director General of ICAR, administered the Swachhata Pledge to officers and staff. Simultaneously, Dr Rajbir Singh, Deputy Director General (Agricultural Extension) of ICAR, administered the pledge at Krishi Anusandhan Bhawan in New Delhi. Officers and staff from ICAR Headquarters and all institutes across the country participated in the pledge ceremony, committing to promote cleanliness, maintain hygiene, and foster clean and healthy working environments. The launch marked ICAR's collective participation in the national cleanliness campaign and reinforced the organization's resolve to make Swachhata a continuous commitment and integral part of everyday life.
