Union Cabinet approved a one-time budgetary support mechanism of up to ₹10,000 crore for Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) price stabilisation support to Scheduled Indian Airlines.
Government will provide interest-free advance to Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) to supply ATF at predetermined stable prices for domestic and international operations.
Mechanism includes true-up mechanism to recover differential amounts from OMCs when fuel prices moderate and return to Consolidated Fund of India.
