India reduced export duty on diesel to 23 rupees per litre, down from 55.5 rupees.
Export duty on aviation turbine fuel fell to 33 rupees per litre, from 42 rupees, while domestic fuel duties remained unchanged.
The move follows crude import prices rising to $120 per barrel and aims to ease pressure on refiners and airlines.
