LPG Supply

Domestic LPG Supply Status:

  • Online LPG cylinder bookings increased to about 99% on industry basis
  • Delivery Authentication Code (DAC) based deliveries increased to about 95%
  • Last 4 days: 1.72 crore LPG cylinders delivered against bookings of around 1.66 crore cylinders

Commercial LPG Supply:

  • Total commercial LPG allocation increased to about 70% of pre-crisis levels (includes 10% reform-linked allocation)
  • Last 4 days: 1.96 lakh - 5 Kg FTL cylinders sold
  • Since 3rd April 2026: 15,400 awareness camps organized, 2.45 lakh - 5Kg FTL cylinders sold
  • Yesterday: 1,487 - 5kg FTL cylinders sold through 82 camps
  • Since 1-May-26: 1,56,898 MT of Commercial LPG sold
  • Last 4 days: 24,557 MT of Commercial LPG sold
  • Last 4 days: 942 MT of Auto LPG sold by PSU OMCs

Natural Gas Supply and PNG Expansion

  • Gas supply to industrial and commercial sectors enhanced up to 80%
  • 22 States/UTs receiving additional commercial LPG allocation linked to PNG expansion reforms
  • Since March 2026: 7.99 lakh PNG connections gasified, infrastructure created for additional 2.87 lakh connections (total 10.86 lakh connections)
  • 8.27 lakh customers registered for new connections
  • Till 24.05.2026: 59,800 PNG consumers surrendered LPG connections via MYPNGD.in website
  • National PNG Drive 2.0 extended till 30.06.2026

Crude Position and Refinery Operations

  • All refineries operating at high capacity with adequate crude inventories
  • Domestic LPG production from refineries increased to support domestic consumption
  • Provision of 1120 MT/day of C3-C4 molecules from LPG pool for Pharma, Chemical and Paint sector companies
  • Since 1st May 2026: 12,360 MT of C3-C4 Molecules (Propylene and Butylene) sold
  • Since 1st May 2026: 4,700 MT of Butyl Acrylate sold by Mumbai, Kochi, Vizag, Chennai, Mathura and Gujarat refineries

Retail Fuel Availability and Pricing Measures

  • Government reduced excise duties on petrol and diesel by Rs. 10/litre
  • Export levy on diesel reduced from Rs. 23 per litre to Rs. 16.50 per litre (Gazette notification dated 15.05.2026)
  • Export duty on ATF reduced from Rs. 33 per litre to Rs. 16 per litre
  • Export duty on Petrol imposed at Rs. 3 per litre
