Union Minister for Communications and Development of North Eastern Region Jyotiraditya Scindia released a commemorative postage stamp issued by the Department of Posts, Government of India, in honor of Sant Malukdas Ji on September 15, 2026. The release occurred during the Sant Samagam event organized in memory of the saint, attended by saints, mahatmas, office bearers of Shri Maluk Peeth Seva Sansthan Nyas, and devotees from different parts of the country.
Minister Scindia stated that the commemorative stamp represents an effort to connect Sant Malukdas Ji's message of devotion, service, and humanity with the national memory, preserving the rich tradition of his devotion, knowledge, compassion, and public welfare that has guided generations. He noted the symbolic timing of the release coinciding with the inauguration of Shri Ram Katha, emphasizing Sant Malukdas Ji's devotion to Lord Ram as a philosophy encompassing duty, sacrifice, truth, compassion, justice, and public welfare rather than mere worship.
The Minister connected the event to broader national developments under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, referencing India's progress with economic development alongside cultural confidence. He cited specific cultural infrastructure projects including the grand Ram Temple in Ayodhya, Kashi Vishwanath Dham, and Mahakal Lok, as well as the preservation and revival of spiritual and cultural heritage sites across the country. Scindia emphasized that India's development model integrates heritage with modern development, asserting that development and culture are not oppositional concepts.
Scindia also discussed India's Viksit Bharat 2047 resolution, stressing that meaningful development must center on human beings through compassion in national progress, economic opportunities, technology benefits reaching the last person, character building through education, and using strength for societal welfare. The commemorative postage stamp serves as a medium to make Sant Malukdas Ji's spiritual and cultural heritage part of the national memory and connect future generations with his messages of devotion, knowledge, compassion, and humanity.
