India's seafood exports reached a record ₹72,325.82 crore (USD 8.28 billion) in FY 2025–26, with volumes of 19.32 lakh metric tonnes.
Frozen shrimp was the primary driver, contributing ₹47,973.13 crore and accounting for over two-thirds of total export earnings.
The United States remained the largest destination at USD 2.32 billion, but exports declined 14.5% in value due to reciprocal tariffs.
Growth was offset by robust gains in China (22.7% value growth), the EU (37.9% value growth), and Southeast Asia (36.1% value growth).
