India Stresses WTO Reforms, Consensus at MC14

Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal emphasized consensus-based decision-making and WTO reforms at the MC14 meeting in Yaounde.
He called for addressing asymmetries from the Uruguay Round and ensuring fair opportunities for all members in global trade.
India supported a time-bound restart of WTO reforms and cautioned against plurilateral agreements that fragment the multilateral system.
