Cabinet approves three railway multitracking projects totaling 901 km with an estimated cost of ₹23,437 crore.
Projects will increase freight capacity by 60 MTPA and cover 19 districts across six Indian states.
Expected to reduce oil imports by 37 crore litres and lower CO2 emissions by 185 crore kg annually.
Enhances connectivity to 4,161 villages and improves access to multiple national parks and tourist destinations.
