Jal Jeevan Mission Reaches 82% Rural Households with Tap Water

The Jal Jeevan Mission Consultative Committee reviewed progress, with 82% of rural households now having tap water, up from 17% in 2019.
The Union Cabinet has extended the Jal Jeevan Mission until December 2028 with an enhanced outlay of ₹8.69 lakh crore for JJM 2.0.
