The Ministry of Education's Department of Higher Education is conducting Yuva Sangam Phase VI, a flagship initiative under Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat, with 22 State and Union Territory pairings aimed at fostering cultural exchange and national integration. As part of the 13th of these tours, a student delegation from Jharkhand led by the Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad is being hosted by the Indian Institute of Technology Indore under the Madhya Pradesh-Jharkhand pairing.
The delegation received a traditional welcome and engaged in an immersive experiential journey through Madhya Pradesh's cultural, educational, and developmental landscape. The delegates interacted with Madhya Pradesh Governor Shri Mangubhai Chhaganbhai Patel, discussing leadership, civic responsibility, and the role of youth in nation-building, which proved highly inspiring for participants.
The program included an introductory briefing session on Indian languages organized by the Central Institute of Indian Languages (CIIL) and health advisory sessions considering prevailing summer conditions. The cultural itinerary featured visits to prominent Indore landmarks including IMC Recycle Centre, Indra Bhawan, 56 Dukan, Lal Bagh, Rajwada, and the Light Show, followed by visits to Maheshwar, the Military College of Telecommunication Engineering, the industrial hub of Pithampur, and the heritage city of Ujjain with Darshan of Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga.
Wellness and civic activities included yoga and meditation sessions promoting physical and mental well-being, Shramdaan activities fostering cleanliness and civic responsibility, and a plantation drive with Neem and Bel Patra saplings to promote environmental conservation and sustainable living. These activities collectively embody the core values of Yuva Sangam Phase VI—wellness, sustainability, and responsible citizenship—while fostering meaningful participation among youth.
