The Legislative Department of the Ministry of Law and Justice organized a workshop titled 'Best out of Waste - Turning Waste into Wonder: Kabad Se Jugad' on September 29, 2026, held at the Conference Hall in Kartavya Bhawan-2. The event was conducted as part of the Swachhata Hi Seva initiative and featured experts from India Aids (NGO) and N.K. Bagrodia Public School, Dwarka, Sector-4.
The workshop included demonstrations of creative methods to transform waste and discarded materials into useful products, with experts showcasing practical ideas for repurposing materials that would otherwise be considered waste. Participants from the Department and its attached offices (Official Language Wing and Vidhi Sahitya Prakashan) engaged in hands-on activities where sample articles were prepared from waste materials under the theme of converting discarded items into useful products.
Joint Secretary & Legislative Counsel Shri G. Panmei chaired the workshop and emphasized the importance of adopting innovative and sustainable practices in daily life. He encouraged participants to explore creative ways of optimizing waste material usage and highlighted that consistent efforts toward reuse, recycling, and responsible waste management can contribute to a cleaner and greener environment. The workshop concluded with a message promoting responsible waste management, recycling, and sustainable living practices.
