The Ministry of Law and Justice, through its Department of Legal Affairs and Legislative Department, is organizing a two-day 'Reforms Utsav & Chintan Shivir 2026' on July 4-5, 2026, at Gyan Sarovar, Brahma Kumaris Headquarters in Mount Abu, Rajasthan. The event aims to review the Ministry's key achievements, highlight important legal and institutional reforms, and discuss the future roadmap for building a modern, efficient, and citizen-centric legal system aligned with the Viksit Bharat @2047 vision.
The program will be graced by Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Law and Justice. The inaugural session will present the Ministry's vision for an efficient, technology-driven, and citizen-centric legal ecosystem. Thematic presentations and brainstorming sessions will cover legal governance, Alternate Dispute Resolution (ADR), legislative reforms, digital transformation, Artificial Intelligence, technology-enabled governance, institutional reforms, capacity building, and administrative excellence.
The Chintan Shivir is expected to produce several key outcomes including a Vision Document, concrete reform proposals, recommendations for institutional improvements, a comprehensive roadmap for digital transformation, and short- to medium-term action points for implementation across the Ministry. Senior officers and officials from both departments will participate, making it a significant forum for discussion, collaboration, and strategic planning. The event reflects the Ministry's commitment to innovation, good governance, and institutional excellence in building a transparent, efficient, and future-ready legal and legislative ecosystem.
