The Legislative Department of the Ministry of Law and Justice organized a workshop titled 'Best out of Waste – Turning Waste into Wonder: Kabad Se Jugad' on September 29, 2026, held at the Conference Hall in Kartavya Bhawan-2. The event was conducted as part of the Swachhata Hi Seva initiative and featured experts from India Aids (NGO) and N.K. Bagrodia Public School, Dwarka, Sector-4.
Key participants included Smt. Archana Srivastava (General Secretary, India Aids), Ms. Anjali Kharbanda (Principal, N.K. Bagrodia Public School), Ms. Baisakhi Bhattacharjee (TGT Science & School Social Responsibility Coordinator), Ms. Sweta Tulsyan (PGT Geography & Health and Wellness Coordinator), Ms. Vidushi Sinha (Alumni & Volunteer), and Aryan Gupta (Alumni & Volunteer). The workshop was chaired by Shri G. Panmei, Joint Secretary & Legislative Counsel, along with senior officers and staff members from the Department and its attached offices including the Official Language Wing and Vidhi Sahitya Prakashan.
During the workshop, experts demonstrated creative methods to transform waste and discarded materials into useful products through hands-on demonstrations. They showcased practical ideas for repurposing materials typically considered waste, emphasizing creativity, innovation, and resourcefulness under the theme of converting discarded items into useful articles. The event highlighted the importance of reusing available materials and adopting environmentally responsible practices.
Shri G. Panmei emphasized the significance of incorporating innovative and sustainable practices into daily life and encouraged participants to explore creative ways to optimize waste material usage. He appreciated participant enthusiasm and stressed that consistent efforts toward reuse, recycling, and responsible waste management can contribute meaningfully to environmental cleanliness. The workshop concluded with a reinforced message promoting responsible waste management, recycling, and sustainable living practices for a cleaner, greener environment.
