The Legislative Department of the Ministry of Law and Justice organized a workshop titled 'Best out of Waste - Turning Waste into Wonder: Kabad Se Jugad' on September 29, 2026, held at the Conference Hall in Kartavya Bhawan-2. The event was conducted as part of the Swachhata Hi Seva initiative and featured experts from India Aids (NGO) and N.K. Bagrodia Public School, Dwarka, Sector-4.
Key participants included Smt. Archana Srivastava (General Secretary, India Aids), Ms. Anjali Kharbanda (Principal, N.K. Bagrodia Public School), Ms. Baisakhi Bhattacharjee (TGT Science & School Social Responsibility Coordinator), Ms. Sweta Tulsyan (PGT Geography & Health and Wellness Coordinator), Ms. Vidushi Sinha (Alumni & Volunteer), and Aryan Gupta (Alumni & Volunteer). The workshop was chaired by Shri G. Panmei, Joint Secretary & Legislative Counsel, along with other senior officers and staff members from the Department and its attached offices including the Official Language Wing and Vidhi Sahitya Prakashan.
During the workshop, experts demonstrated creative and practical methods for transforming waste and discarded materials into useful and innovative products. They shared simple ideas for repurposing materials typically considered waste, with hands-on demonstrations creating sample articles under the 'Kabad Se Jugad' theme. The event highlighted the importance of reusing available materials and adopting environmentally responsible practices.
Shri G. Panmei emphasized the importance of adopting innovative and sustainable practices in daily life and encouraged participants to explore creative ways to optimize waste material usage. He appreciated participant enthusiasm and highlighted that consistent efforts toward reuse, recycling, and responsible waste management can contribute to a cleaner and greener environment. The workshop concluded with a message promoting responsible waste management, recycling, and sustainable living practices.
