The Ministry of Culture has announced the 8th edition of the PM Mementos e-Auction, featuring 22 cultural artifacts from Madhya Pradesh that represent the state's regional heritage and cultural traditions. The collection includes diverse items such as a small-scale metal model of Kandariya Mahadev Temple in Khajuraho, representations of Vishnu as Varaha from Udayagiri Caves, Gond Tree of Life paintings, a statue of educationist Dr. Hari Singh Gour, and a wooden representation of the Lion Capital of Ashoka incorporating the Ashoka Chakra.
The mementos originate from various locations across Madhya Pradesh including Ujjain, Khajuraho, Udayagiri, Maheshwar, Shajapur, Neemuch, Khandwa, and the Sanjay Tiger Reserve forests. The collection also includes depictions of Mahakaleshwar in Ujjain, Maa Rajarajeshwari of Shajapur, Mahamaya Bhadwa Mataji of Neemuch, and Shri Dadaji Dhuniwale Mandir of Khandwa, representing the continuing role of sacred traditions in the state's cultural life.
The auction has been extended until October 31, 2026, and interested bidders can participate through the official PM Mementos e-Auction portal at https://pmmementos.gov.in. All proceeds from the auction are dedicated to the Namami Gange Programme, continuing the initiative's practice of making gifts presented to the Prime Minister available to the public while supporting environmental conservation efforts.
