Union Minister of Youth Affairs & Sports Dr Mansukh Mandaviya led the 80th edition of Fit India Sundays on Cycle from Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi on July 5, 2026. The event was organized in collaboration with Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations to celebrate 100 years of spiritual leader Sri Sathya Sai, with additional partnerships including Art of Living, Heartfulness, and Isha Foundation.

In New Delhi, over 9,000 participants engaged in community cycling, running, Zumba, and yoga sessions. A dedicated Game Zone featured life-sized chess and ludo, along with carrom, table tennis, futsal, and badminton activities for children. The event began with Vedic invocations, lamp lighting, and a public pledge of Nasha Mukt Bharat before the fitness ride commenced.

Dr Mandaviya emphasized the importance of citizen health for national development, stating that "one out of 4 persons in India is overweight" and urging Indians to "set aside one hour from their mobile screens" for sports activities. He connected the initiative to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of Viksit Bharat by 2047.

Nimish Gulabrai Pandya, All India President of Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation, noted the alignment between Fit India's fitness goals and their organization's "love all, serve all" motto. Actor Naseer Abdullah also attended and appreciated the initiative.

The Fit India Sundays on Cycle program was started by Dr Mandaviya in December 2024 and has grown to include over 30 lakh participants across thousands of locations nationwide. The ministry-led initiative encourages citizens to dedicate "fitness ki dose, aadha ghanta roz" (30 minutes daily for fitness). Events are conducted simultaneously across all States and Union Territories through SAI Regional Centres, National Centres of Excellence, SAI Training Centres, Khelo India State Centres of Excellence, and Khelo India Centres in collaboration with the Cycling Federation of India, Yogasana Bharat, Raahgiri Foundation, and MY Bharat.
