The Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (MDoNER) and its organisations are implementing Special Campaign 6 from 05–15 October 2026, following guidelines from the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG). The campaign aims to transform Swachhata into sustained administrative action by promoting workplace cleanliness, optimizing available space, reducing pendency, and strengthening records management systems.
Building on the achievements of Special Campaign 5.0 concluded on 31 October 2025, the previous initiative recorded significant outcomes including 36 cleanliness drives, freeing of 3,664 square feet of office space, disposal of 46 public grievances and 3 VIP references, review and weeding of 217 physical files and 32 e-files, and generation of ₹7,82,814 through disposal of scrap and unserviceable items.
Special Campaign 6 will intensify these efforts through comprehensive cleanliness drives in office premises, corridors, common areas, staircases and surrounding areas. Specific activities include the Clean Desk Campaign, identification and review of old physical files/records, review and closure of eligible e-files, identification of obsolete/damaged furniture and equipment, segregation of e-waste and other scrap for prescribed disposal procedures, and review of pending references for time-bound disposal.
The campaign is expected to deliver visible and measurable improvements across the Ministry and its organisations. By integrating cleanliness with systematic administrative reforms, Special Campaign 6 aims to make Swachhata an integral part of daily office management rather than a one-time exercise. MDoNER remains committed to sustaining the improvements achieved and fostering cleaner, more efficient, organised, and environmentally responsible workplaces.
